We have Helen who is a Patient Navigator with the Lung Cancer Screening Programme coming into the Molineux Surgery on Monday 10th August.

Helen will be available to talk to about the benefits of lung cancer screening, answer any questions, and help patients understand whether they may be eligible. She can provide information, reassurance, and practical support to help patients make informed decisions about their health and access screening services.

So please feel free to pop in any time from 9am.

Lung cancer Screening is offered to people aged 55-74 who currently smoke or have smoked in the past. The aim is to detect lung cancer at an early stage, often before symptoms develop, when treatment is more effective and outcomes are significantly improved.

Lung cancer causes more deaths than any other cancer in the UK. There are often no signs or symptoms of lung cancer at an early stage. Your lung health check appointment may be in person or by phone. A health professional will ask about your health and lifestyle to find out more about your risk of lung cancer.
