The practice is reviewing patients who are currently prescribed vitamin D (colecalciferol) products to maintain their vitamin D levels.
We are no longer going to issue prescriptions for routine vitamin D supplementation. This applies to patients, who normally receive prescriptions free of charge and to those who pay for prescriptions MORE>>
Repeat prescriptions requests can be made via patient online, NHS app by calling our prescription line on 0191 2755740 or by handing in your prescription request at reception.
Repeat Prescriptions take 2 working days to process. When you order your prescription it will be available after 4pm, 2 working days after it has been ordered. Please advise us of the pharmacy you use when ordering your medication and we will arrange for your prescription to go directly to the pharmacy.
Alternatively you can email the surgery on: NGCCG.thornfieldmedical@nhs.net to order you prescription.
It will be ready after 2 working days.
This telephone will only be answered between 10.00am and 5.00pm each day however a voicemail message can be left 24 hours a day. We are unable to issue prescriptions at weekends, public holidays or out of normal surgery hours.
You can also arrange for a chemist of your choice to collect your prescription.
